Stacking the Shelves #5

Stacking The Shelves is a concept from Tynga's Reviews and it is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Last week a lovely package from Amazon came in the mail. I ordered two beautiful hardcovers, of Under the Never Sky and Through the Ever Night.

This is how my bookshelf looks now. The top shelf is ready for some new books:)

Look at this awesome mug I got!

What did you get this week?

  4. I'm maybe a little too tidy, my bookshelf is also on alphabetical order of writers ;)

  5. Ooh, love the mug! Even though I try to read everything on my Kindle, I still buy hardbacks of the books I love. I bought the hardback Under the Never Sky recently too, but I still need to get the hardback of Through the Ever Night. ~Pam

  7. I really like the mug. I'm in the process of cleaning my bookshelves off for good though. I'm headed to mostly digital for space. Happy reading!

  8. Haha, I'm loving this post!
I read both of those books, and let me tell you. The first book is much better then the second, so if you for any reason give up on the first book, just look back at this comment (; Because the series really is good once you finish it.
Where did you get the mug?! LOVE IT!

  9. I'm so jealous of the emptiness of your top shelf! We ran out of shelf space what feels like years ago, and have started stacking piles of books next to them. Eventually we'll finally find room for them all. At least that's the goal!

  10. Love the mug-so cute! I enjoyed Under the Never Sky, and the covers are gorgeous on both books, definitely looks good on your shelf! :)

  11. The mug is so cute! It can come in so handy :P And your shelf is pretty awesome! I wish I had some decent place to organize my books, but oh well

  12. Haha at least you can find everything easily then. The way my shelves are, at the moment everything is just stacked on top of each other, and because they're quite deep, in front of each other too so I can never find anything.

  13. Haha, you just shove it in the face of everyone who dares to talk to you while reading:)

  14. I already finished the series, I read them on my ereader, but I loved the series so much that I wanted physical copies for on my shelf. But thanks for the advice :)

  15. I lovelovelove the mug! And that's awesome that you ordered both Veronica Rossi books! I need to pre-order the third. And organize my shelves. Sighhh D:

  21. I got it at a Dutch bookshop :) I love the series too, I already pre-ordered Into the Still blue!

  22. I already read it and wrote a review for it, together with book 2: http://evelinesbooks.blogspot.nl/2013/06/under-never-sky-and-through-ever-night.html :) I got the mug in a Dutch bookshop!

  23. I already pre-ordered the third book, can't wait to read it!

  24. sigh too bad, i'd like one like that too. and they have such beautiful covers (imma sucker for those i admit) but the british editions aren't as nice and my heart breaks and it has nothing to do with anything woops

    ReplyDelete
  25. Haha, I ordered them special from Amazon.com instead of .co.uk, since I hated the UK covers ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I mean they are not that bad but they look as though they were done in Paint. But I already bought two uk editions so I'll buy the third book like that as well so they fit lol x

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh, I'll read your review in that case! Aw. D: I was hoping I could get it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Maybe they have something similar at Etsy.com .. They have all sorts of original and also bookish things there:)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Fitting covers is the most important, yes! Can't have books in a series not matching haha, I have that same conviction:)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm glad you liked the Under the Never sky series, they're one of my favourites too! Can't wait for book 3:)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Buy a new bookshelf? ;) Haha, well after this shelf is full, I won't have any room left either!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I do that too! Ebooks are cheaper, so if I don't like them I won't lose so much money. And if I think I'll read them again, I'll buy the physical version:)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh my god, yes. Books from the same series bt in different editions, sizes or formats are the reason I sometimes have an rge to run into a wall

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have the Divergent US version and the Insurgent UK version, everytime I look at them I get so frustrated, why can't I just have the same version! And different sizes I get a lot too, is it so hard to just make all books in a series the same size?!

    ReplyDelete
  35. OHMIGOD Ihave it the same way with divergent/insurgent and it's do annoying because i like to have my shelf organized but now it's just looks like i'm building towers (well it' also 'cause i have so many books and only one shelf but shhhhh)

  36. I keep hearing about the Veronica Rossi series! The Works sells them so cheap so next time I go I shall buy them! Your bookshelf looks amazing! I love the look of all your favourite books lined up next to each other. Also, that mug. Pure awesomeness.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love your mug so much! :D I really loved Under the Never Sky, though I still have to buy a copy of Through the Ever Night.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Haha no! I couldn't. If I tidied them up they'd be great. One day I will post a picture haha.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Through the Ever Night is so good, hope you love it as much as you did book 1;)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes, yes, yes, the books are amazing, you should definitely buy them! I only buy physical copies of my favourite books, so that is indeed very true:)
