This week's question:
What is your favorite genre? (genre that you read the most) - Recommend a book!
I like to read both YA and classic books, although on this blog I only review the YA books.
My favourite YA genres are sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal. I guess I just like non-realistic books:) From sci-fi I particularly like the dystopian book, although since it has become a hype not all of them are very good. And from all paranormal books, I like the vampire books best, those vampires just have something mysterious about them.. Angel books are awesome too!
My Recommendations/My favourite books from the genre:
Dystopian: The Hunger Games, Divergent, Shatter Me
Fantasy: The Mortal Instruments/The Infernal Devices, Harry Potter
Paranormal:
- Vampire: Blood of Eden, Vampire Academy/Bloodlines
- Angel: Unearthly, Angelfall
Tell me your favourite genre and recommendations!
Hi there! I'm glad to have found your blog.
ReplyDeleteI mostly read literary fiction and realistic YA fiction. Books I recommend:
literary fiction - The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Pale Fire
YA fiction - The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Looking for Alaska
Right now I am all about aliens. Science Fiction is a fave genre. I do get tired of reading the same genres over and over and like to break free of them every once in a while. Some I tend to avoid are romance and mystery.
ReplyDeleteAliens? Than you should read the 5th wave:)
DeleteI LOVE all your choices, with the sole exception of "The Hunger Games". But all the others ROCK!! As you know, I'm a big fan of YA paranormal romance/dystopian/urban fantasy!!! I own some of these books, and have read the Harry Potter series -- almost to the end. Something totally unexpected (and traumatic for me)happened in book 6...
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my BBH post and commenting!! :)
I love all your book recommendations, except I can't comment on the Angel books as I've not read them. If you like books with angels I'd like to recommend Outcast by Adrienne Kress :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll check it out:)
DeleteI love books about romance! =)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you on the Fantasy picks - love them! I'm one of the few who didn't like The Hunger Games, but I understand its appeal for those who enjoy Dystopians.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite genre was YA paranormal/fantasy (Nevermore by Kelly Creagh is one of my top recommendations), but I've gotten into YA contempories and realistic fiction this past year as well (My Life Next Door - definitely recommended).
