Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.
This week: Top Ten Authors Who Deserve More RecognitionThese authors are probably known in the book blogging world, but not outside of there. And they should be, because their books are awesome! The list is not in any particular order.
1. Veronica Rossi
I absolutely love her Under the Never Sky series!
2. Tahereh Mafi
The Shatter Me series is just amazing.
3. Susan Ee
Angelfall is probably the best self-published book I've ever read.
4. Michelle Hodkin
The Mara Dyer series is so confusing and mysterious and brilliantly written, love it!
5. Leigh Bardugo
The Grisha series is one of my all time favourites, everything is just perfect.
6. Sarah Maas
Throne of Glass was amazing, I can't wait for Crown of Midnight.
7. Rick Yancey
The 5th Wave did justice to its hype, I loved it. This writer is one of the few who have written a good 'multiple POV' book.
8. Amy Plum
I just read Die for Me and I can't wait to read the rest of her Revenants series. Her descriptions of Paris were just amazing.
9. Alexandra Bracken
The Darkest Minds was a great sci-fi/dystopian book, I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.
10. Mira Grant
I'm currently reading her (first) book Parasite, it's really good until now.
Put the link to your Top Ten in the comments!
I love all of your picks! No kidding. I know all of them, and yes they're amazing (diggin' Rick Yancey at the moment). Leigh Bardugo's also an amazing author, as well as Amy Plum and Veronica Rossi, since I follow their series :) Great list Eveline~
ReplyDeleteI have most of these books but haven't had a chance to read them yet, lol. I have Parasite, too, from Netgalley. CanNOT wait to read that one! :D Awesome list!
ReplyDeleteGreat list--I love all of these books! I haven't heard of Mira Grant and Parasite though, so I'll have to check that one out! And I'm assuming you're a Warner fan? I don't know, I'm still an Adam fan, but Tehereh Mafi has definitely written one of the greatest love triangles where people are actually torn (which is a tough thing to do). ~Pam
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Amy Plum. I need to read the last book of the Revenant series. My TTT
ReplyDeleteAlexandra Bracken is awesome- I should have included her on my list! The Darkest Minds is awesome and I'm dying to read her other book, Brightly Woven. Love Michelle Hodkin's books and Amy Plum's. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Mara Dyer and the Under the Never sky series :)

Niiice! I have Angelfall and The 5th Wave both in my TBR mountain! Angelfall is getting close to its turn in my reading queue and I hope the same for The 5th Wave because I keep reading too many good reviews on it to pass it up for much longer!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Awesome choices! Especially Leigh Bardugo, Veronica Rossi, Sarah J Maas and Michelle Hodkin! I still need to check out Susan Ee's book - it's been sitting unread on my Kindle for almost a year now!

I've only read Leigh Bardugo's novels (which I heartily love), and I've heard of a few of the others, but have yet to read their books. I definitely want to, though!

The only author whose books I've read is Laini Taylor, and she made my list as well! Such beautiful writing! Quite a few of these have books that are on my wishlist though. I'll have to check their work out. I'm especially interested in Mira Grant's books. I'm glad you're enjoying her book!
ReplyDeleteAngelfall and Under The Never Sky are both on my TBR list. And I really want to check out Amy Plum's books too, the whole Paris setting sounds fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat list, thanks for stopping by earlier :)
I agree with you on Amy Plum, she's on my list too!
ReplyDeleteIs Mira Grant the author of the Feed series? The one with zombies and journalism?
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Alexandra Bracken but I've heard lots of good things about her.
Yes, I looked it up and she wrote that series too:)
DeleteI've actually heard of most of these authors - but only read Amy Plum's books. Love them! And this is the second list I've come across with Mara Dyer. I have GOT to read these books.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT earlier. :)
Erin @ YA Book Crush
Great list! Fantastic to see Yancey on there - as awesome as 5th Wave is, his Monstrumologist series is even better.
ReplyDeleteI did two this week - check them out at YA/MG contemporary authors and comics creators if you'd like to take a look.
Awesome list! I agree with several of the authors you wrote down! Thanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard about a lot of the authors on your list, but I don't think I've read their books. Guess I probably should! Great list :)
