 An ideal beach book for me means a light, not too thick read which will not make you cry or display too much emotion and about which you do not have to think very hard.

    Good list, I love the Percy Jackson series it's my favorite and I've been meaning to read the Pretty Little liars series for awhile now since I love the show.

    Even though I like reading contemporary during the summer I must say that these paranormal books are great for beach too. Great list :)

    I love reading my Pretty Little Liars series in the Summer! I'm so glad it's on your list, as well as Gossip Girl because there's nothing like a high-school drama to read on the Beach :) Great TTT!

    Grat list - I love you had Anna and the French Kiss on there - LOVE that book and Stephanie Perkins! If you have not read Lola and the Boy Next Door - it's a must read! I also loved Twilgiht and even though the series is done, still a Twihard @ heart so I totally reccommend Twlight too - sometimes i still read over that while i'm sitting on the beach, nothing like a great re-read to zone out to on vacation! Great list!

    Harry Potter will always remind me of the beach bc I read the majority of the last one on the beach right after it came out :) Wake looks like a good beach read and I totally agree w/ reading fun series at the beach. It's a good place to read stuff like that. I always read PLL and The Lying Game at the beach :)

    I've read all of them in the fantsy section besides for Starcrossed. I might have to check that out!

    Oh Percy Jackson...

    I read the first six Pretty Little Liars books and stopped abruptly. They got too weird for me.

      I've read the first 8, after that I was just done with it. I had no interest in the new storyline that was starting in book 9.

    Anna, HP, and Percy Jackson are all great books! Of Poseidon seems really interesting- I love Greek mythology adaptations!

    I agree with you on HP & Twilight - they're such familiar favorites that I can quickly read them anywhere....I may have to give Gossip Girl a try soon, since I think I'm starting to get hooked on watching it on Netflix.

    Love these picks! I've actually read 6 out of 10 - which could be a record for me. :) Twilight and Anna both made my list, and I was wavering on the other three Fantasy picks; good to see them here.
