A Monthly Round Up: MAY

A Monthly Round Up is a meme hosted at Feed Me Books Now!!!. The purpose of this meme is to sum up the month's blogging in one post. In the post you can mention the books you read that month, things that happened in the bookish world and blogs you discovered/read that month. :)

Books read & reviewed this month

  1. Fire by Kristin Cashore
  2. The Elite by Kiera Cass
  3. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
  4. Wither & Fever by Lauren DeStefano
  5. The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
  6. Unravel Me by Tehereh Mafi
  7. Requiem by Lauren Oliver
  8. Eragon by Christopher Paolini
  9. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

From the books I read this month I really loved The 5th Wave, Unravel Me, Fire and Wither (City of Bones was a re-read). I gave those 4 stars or more.
The Elite, Fever, Eragon and Requiem were quite disappointing, these books got 2 or less stars.

May was my first month of book blogging. It has been so much fun so far, everyone has been very nice and I have learned a lot about blogging and writing reviews in a short time.
I hope there are still many months of blogging to come!

Happy June!

  1. Yay for new bloggers! My blog is almost three months now, it's going fast! :)

I really want to read Fire, because I loved Graceling. I've also heard a lot of good things about the 5th wave, so I'm excited to read that one as well. :)

    Happy June!

  2. I loved Graceling, but I'm hesitant to read Fire because everyone says it's slower than Graceling. I couldn't finish Unravel Me because I feel so bad for Adam! XD I love the Iron Fey series. Wither was an okay read. So disappointed that you didn't like Eragon, I've been wanting to pick it up for ages ;)

I started blogging in May as well, so... Bonus points for us!! *virtual hug*

I didn't think Fire was slower, I even liked it better than Graceling, you should give it a try!
Haha, Unravel Me was quite a disappointment for Adam lovers I guess;)

  3. I've read all of the books you mentioned except the 5th Wave and The Elite. I will be getting to the 5th Wave in the next week or so.
Congratulations on your new blog! I also liked Fire better than Graceling! I really need to read Bitterblue!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
